Loch and Castle An Eilein Wedding \\ Cairngorms, Scotland

Last summer I had a pleasure of capturing a beautiful small wedding of Abigail and Alasdair.

Their wedding ceremony took place right at the loch’s edge with the castle An Eilein sitting quietly on its little island. There’s no aisle in the traditional sense—just a worn path through heather, blueberries and pine needles.

Vows are spoken simply, without microphones or distractions.

became part of the ceremony.

A paddle board glides across the loch, someone sitting or lying back in the sun, completely at ease. A few people are stretched out on the bank nearby, sunbathing, chatting softly, enjoying the day. It adds to the feeling that this moment belongs to the landscape, not set apart from it.
